Earlier today, Oppo announced that the upcoming Reno12 series will be launched on May 23. Now again, the company has published some promotional images of upcoming smartphones showing the rear design. As we can see in the images, both Reno12 and Reno12 Pro are equipped with a triple rear camera setup. Both smartphones are rumored to offer triple 50MP cameras. There is “AI Camera System” engraved around the cameras. Hence, we can expect some unique AI features to enhance the camera quality.
Other than that, the standard Reno12 is expected to be powered by the newly launched MediaTek Dimensity 8250 chipset, which is an overclocked version of the original 8200 SoC. Meanwhile, the Reno12 Pro will have a Dimensity 9200+ chip under the hood. Both of these chipsets are powerful enough to power these devices.
Besides, Oppo Reno12 Pro is rumored to have a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Further, it will support a 5,000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. The 50MP front-facing camera will further improve the selfie experience.
Going with the previous data, the company is rumored to include some flagship-grade features exclusively designed for the Reno12 series. The mention of Oppo AI clearly indicates that the theme revolves around AI. So, it would be interesting to see what new AI features we will the in this series. The promotional material also demonstrates that the event focuses on Reno12 and Reno12 Pro. Most probably, these two smartphones will be launched on May 23.
